Who we are
goldratetodayin.com (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is run by Codologies Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what information is handled when you visit the site and what choices you have.
Information we don’t collect
You don’t need an account to use the site, and we don’t ask for your name, phone number or email address. The calculators work entirely in your browser; the weights and prices you type in are never sent to us.
Finding your nearest city
On the home page, the site works out your approximate country and city from your IP address so it can show your local rates first. This lookup is done by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, as your request reaches us. We use the result only to choose which rates to show, and we don’t store it on our servers.
What is stored in your browser
The first time you open a home page, the site sets one cookie, grt-where, holding the approximate country, region and city found for you, so the page can open on your local rates without asking again. It lasts seven days and is used for nothing else.
The site also keeps a few items in your browser’s local storage: the place you chose or the place found for you, and a short-lived copy of recent rates so pages load faster. These stay on your device and are not used to track you. You can clear the cookie and these items at any time from your browser settings, or by choosing “Use my location” in the place picker.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver the page and keep the service secure. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Fonts
The site’s typeface is served from the site itself, so opening a page doesn’t connect your browser to any font service.
Advertising and cookies
The site is paid for by advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy doesn’t cover them.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, most requests can be met by clearing your browser’s storage and cookies. For anything else, write to us at contact@goldratetodayin.com.
